Online Therapy Process

I am so glad you have taken a positive step by deciding to seek online therapy!
The outcome of your treatment will depend on your willingness to engage and partner with me in this process. Given this, I think is important for you to have a clear understanding about how the online therapy process works...

Participation in online therapy can result in many benefits, including increased insight into your patterns of feeling, thinking, behaving and relating to others; improvement in your relationships; solutions to specific problems you bring forward in therapy; and improvement in symptoms of distress.

During our initial intake, we will talk about your goals, what you think it will look like when you have accomplished your goals, and when we will know when you are ready to move on from therapy. My goal for you is to find your peace and meet your goals so you can move on from therapy and live your life.

Your first appointment will be a 75-minute intake session in which I will ask you a TON of questions and go in depth to get a sense of who you are, what you are struggling with and what strengths and resiliency factors you bring to the table. I want to get a sense of how we can work together to get you to where you want to be. 

Services

From there, we will book our regular sessions. Online therapy is typically for weekly 50-minute sessions. Our weekly sessions are an important way for us to gain momentum on reaching your goals. As you make progress, we can talk about moving our sessions to every other week or monthly sessions if that seems more appropriate.

We will both know when we are getting close to the end of treatment because we will have worked on your goals early in our treatment, checked in on progress and seen that you’ve reached them!
